Pin Number

NWRL library cards contain a 14-digit barcode that connects your name and address to the library’s electronic database.  A “PIN” number is required when you want to access your library account and for statewide library electronic databases not owned by NWRL.

 

How to obtain a PIN number

  • Register for a library card from your branch library.
  • Go to My Account listed under “Using the Library”.
  • Type in the 14-digit barcode number on the back of your library card.
  • Leave the PIN number blank.
  • Hit submit.
  • A new screen will pop up that asks you to create your PIN number. Create a PIN using 4 or more numbers or letters or combination of.
  • Enter numbers that you will remember. Hit tab.
  • Enter the numbers again. Hit tab
  • Please note: It is your responsibility to remember the PIN number. Library staff does not have access to PIN numbers.
  • Submit.

How to change your pin number

  • Go to My Account.
  • Use your current PIN number.
  • Click on modify.
  • Change your PIN number as desired.

What do I do if I forgot my PIN number?

  • The pin cannot be recalled.
  • Call your branch librarian and ask them to erase your current pin number.
  • Go into My Account and create a new pin number.

If you receive this message: Your PIN is not complex enough to be secure. 

Try one of these suggestions:

  • Create a new pin that does not repeat numbers or letters.
  • You hit enter before typing the PIN number in the next box.
  • You hit enter instead of tab.
