NWRL library cards contain a 14-digit barcode that connects your name and address to the library’s electronic database. A “PIN” number is required when you want to access your library account and for statewide library electronic databases not owned by NWRL.
How to obtain a PIN number
- Register for a library card from your branch library.
- Go to My Account listed under “Using the Library”.
- Type in the 14-digit barcode number on the back of your library card.
- Leave the PIN number blank.
- Hit submit.
- A new screen will pop up that asks you to create your PIN number. Create a PIN using 4 or more numbers or letters or combination of.
- Enter numbers that you will remember. Hit tab.
- Enter the numbers again. Hit tab
- Please note: It is your responsibility to remember the PIN number. Library staff does not have access to PIN numbers.
- Submit.
How to change your pin number
- Go to My Account.
- Use your current PIN number.
- Click on modify.
- Change your PIN number as desired.
What do I do if I forgot my PIN number?
- The pin cannot be recalled.
- Call your branch librarian and ask them to erase your current pin number.
- Go into My Account and create a new pin number.
If you receive this message: Your PIN is not complex enough to be secure.
Try one of these suggestions:
- Create a new pin that does not repeat numbers or letters.
- You hit enter before typing the PIN number in the next box.
- You hit enter instead of tab.
