Materials may be borrowed for the following

loan periods:

  • 3 week loan  Books ~ Books on cassette/CD ~ Music on CD/cassettes ~ Family & Daycare Story time kits ~ Magazines
  • 1 week loan
        DVDs ~ Videos
  •  Loan periods for materials borrowed from other libraries are set by the owning library.   Sorry- no renewals!

  • WHEN MATERIALS ARE OVERDUE

You will be reminded by either an e-mail message or letter when materials are overdue.  When materials are 21 days overdue, you will be charged a late fee of $2.00 per item.  These fees are designed to encourage you to return material on time so they’re available for others to borrow.

  • LOST OR DAMAGED MATERIAL
  • You will be billed the replacement cost and a $3.00 processing fee for each item you’ve lost or damaged.  Ouch! Thus, it’s a good idea to keep track of the material you borrowed.  Don’t drop them in the bathtub or let your dog to chew them for lunch.   Don’t lose them either!
  •      Good News: you will be refunded the replacement cost if you find the ‘lost’ material and return it to the library within a year.
  •      Not so good news:  It’s a petty misdemeanor in Minnesota to keep library material longer then 60 days after a written notice was mailed (MN Statute #609.541).
